It's coming up to that time for me again. One of the big "Oh" birthdays. (You know, "the big Two-Oh", "the big Three-Oh", etc.) No, you notice I am not mentioning which one it is

Geez. Thats a hint. Does SHE read your LiveJournal?
Seriously, birthday celebrations in general do tend to be more of a source of pain than anything else. You plan a party and almost nobody comes or RSVPs. You plan a party and then everyone in your largest group of friends goes somewhere else after a few others say they are coming. You don't plan a party and someone else holds a party for something else and invites every other person you know but not you so you're at home watching Star Trek. Just be glad you're not near a major holiday.
*sigh* /rant That said, you've dropped a major hint here. While I would also pass it on to those outside LJ I wouldn't angst on it too much unless we all prove to be total dorks which isn't really something that can proved until AFTER your birthday.
Speaking of them, welcome to the next step in our birthdays being non-events. Come this June, and every June thereafter, more and more of your family and friends are going to remember you for Father's Day but blow your birthday off completely.
And naturally, neither of us will be forgetting each others, as usual

Yes, yes... and, as usual, it will be a shared birthday... but you don't hear me complaining. Now, just a gentle reminder that I would like a nephew for my birthday. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
