Beep Beep Beeping Ninja

Last night around 5 my smoke alarm started chirping. You know, the noise it makes when it thinks it's running out of batteries? Yeah, that. Every 30 seconds or so..."chirp." "chirp." "chirp." It's annoying and it was driving the dog crazy

I've never understood why they put smoke alarms in such inaccessible places. Wouldn't you want to know before the smoke gets all the way up there? (we have a hard to reach smoke alarm in our house too.)

The chirping is more then likely because the battery needs to be replaced. I remember that happened at one of our old apartments. Drove me nuts, but with a fresh battery it stopped, as I recall.

Yes, I'm sure that's the problem. If I had a ladder, it wouldn't be an issue, but I really don't want to kill myself trying to spider-climb the wall!

Plus, it hasn't done much beeping since Friday night. Every once in a while, it chirps once or twice. I've been keeping it really cold in the apartment since then. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I thought I heard it chirping this morning, but there's a bird that sits in the tree outside my bedroom window sometimes that sounds just like the beeping, so I don't know if I was maybe hearing the bird instead. Eh.
