No 'give me a moment', No 'I just got back from a mission' and certainly no flat out 'no'.
It's not that she'd force anyone, really, so much as remind them that she was, as it were the only game in town. If you wanted to pet the kitty, you did it on her terms.
And if you ever wanted to do it again, you did it when she asked.
Which is how Axel found himself with his hands fisted in her hair, biting down on his lip, not so much to keep from crying out, as to hold himself back.
It had been a long mission; diplomatic, and that meant tea, lots of it, apparently. Demons of Fire only knew why he, of all people had been sent on a diplomatic mission; though the Flurry could be plenty diplomatic when the occasion called for it ( ... )
