I was all gung ho to bring Stacy to see this even without the Single Ladies number and the Klaine skit. THEN I heard about the fan stories. DNW I wanted a concert movie, with backstage shenanigans and the cast being their lovely, adorkable selves backstage then being their lovely, adorkable characters on stage. That would have made a LOT of Glee fans happy, me included. Although I wanted to see this in 3D, I'm waiting for the DVD and probably skip the fan parts. *shrug*
I don't know, if you were gung-ho to see it before then I would say don't let the fan-related stuff stop you. The way I saw it, it was an interruption to the far more interesting concert footage, but you know... there's still concert footage to be enjoyed, and some backstage interviews with the cast as they attempt to stay in character. :) Not to mention Chris in 3D. Less of him than I'd like but what can you do?
But hey, I don't blame you for wanting to wait instead for the DVD-- that was my plan all along, until Mom's very stern "You are going with me to see Glee 3D, end of story." Also, I am so with you there, on skipping the fan parts when I have a remote in my hands and am able to do so.
And yes! The Dalton tie! ♥ Since the cast were supposed to be in character for this (although how Single Ladies as we saw it on this year's tour is "in character" for Kurt I have no idea; Chris may say otherwise, but that was all him), I'm sure it was meant to be Kurt wearing Blaine's tie... But even knowing that, IMO one of many great things
