(it's been pissing me off that I can't find an accurate version of this anywhere, so I'm transcribing the lyrics my own damn self)

...Holy shit, I never noticed that, but now I see it too. @_@

(A few years ago I came across a picture on the Wikimedia Commons of some foggy redwoods in California, and thought it was beautiful and would crop awesomely, and made off with it. In retrospect, I probably should've made a note of the contributor...)

Thank you so much! I never thought of "but" instead of "that" in the line about 'the stories that they tell', but I listened to the song a couple more times and you're right, that is what they're saying. Thank you for helping out!
