Get-what-you-pay-for audiobooks

At work I've been listening, between bits of Pandora, to some audiobook recordings from Librivox. Lately I've been listening to Sylvie and Bruno.
Just a few things that've been bugging me about it:

• None of the readers get Bruno's dialect anything like how I hear it. (I suppose I can't fault anyone for that, really.)

one of the most enjoyable audiobook recordings I heard was of a Neil Gaiman book. Also with audiobooks its amazing the difference you feel between the vocals of the readers. I listened to several readings of the start of the book A Tale of Two Cities and its astounding how much difference a good read can make.
