I carved my name into his legacy

From the files of the Dept. of Misapprehension:

A lot of the time when I'm listening to Carrie Underwood sing, "I carved my name into his leather seat," I hear it as, "I carved my name into his legacy." I can't shake this; when I'm half paying attention, these and not the correct words are what I hear.

In 'Like It Or Leave It' by Aly and AJ, I always hear "What was that line in that one movie where he looked at her like it would last forever" as "...when he looked at her like a velociraptor." Even then, I had to look up what the actual words were.

The movie must have been Jurassic Park.

July of '07: "Like It or Leave It" -- "what was that line in that one movie when he looked at her and said, 'are you a velociraptor?'" Either it was Jurassic Park 3 or I misheard that lyric.

Also, if I remember correctly, the line was: "Clever girl..."
