Totally ignorant of many of these most recent listings, but second Yays for sly lyrical Brandy Clark, brainy badass Ashley MacBryde, Pam Tillis in bloom, aptly titled Ocean Bridges (I think of it as Shepp*Raw Poetic*Damuthefudgemonk, because names in that order on cover, and I hate the damu name, but it's on his bandcamp page and he plays good so okay) also give up the devil dues for Mr. D's RARW, his guest Fiona Apple's own latest, and must check new by Lyrics Born, Jungle Brothers, Art Alexakis, thanks for the mentions (also for reminders re Joe Ely and others)

Totally ignorant of almost all, but amen for Yays for Nubya, Chicks, Caylee (whose name reminds me I still need to check new Casadee, also glad to know about Raelynn EP). Somebody reminded me of Caylee when I was jonesing for a female artist w big glitzy pop country or country pop production - actually, she often seems like she's been riding w MacBryde and Shorr, so some glitz from fireworks, that kind of pop, and some other, like "Preciacia," that some find too cute, but as a Southern fan of underexploited country possibliities, Ah 'preciate it. Also will check Tennille Townes or however you spell it, though what I've heard does sound too or wrongly cute. And will make another attempt to wrap my ears around new Elizabeth Cook - so far distracted by some of the double-tracking of her voice, but then there's the refreshing closer.
