Why post this in July?

Well, 'cause I missed it in June. It became a June tradition in 2010, I mean, 2011, when my Artist Of The Year for 2010 was E.via and I was going to post in January but January was busy, in February I went East because my dad was dying, didn't get back till April, anyway, post was in June, so this became a June tradition, which of course made it a July 1, 12:00 AM deadline, which I managed to miss two years ago, also.

The teaser for the title track of the Wonder Girls comeback is out, and it's synthpop with Ye-eun on keytar and Sunmi on the tollet. :)

Someone in the Youtube comments says "Ooh it sounds like 80s freestyle which is my fav genre of music, next to Kpop ofc". Whether it really is freestyle I'll leave to you.

Not that this has much to do with this post, but I'm now slowly going through and deleting my "K-pop" tag, since it had become so ubiquitous as to be almost meaningless, and was so big on my sidebar that all the other tags were small.

Mat points to what looks like genuine promo copy identifying the style as freestyle. Seems more like frothy Madonna quasi-freestyle than the heavy barrio stuff, though. (Not that there's anything wrong with the former.)
