Impressive how the costume and makeup people give her a look that's prole and deliberately, menacingly unkempt while dressing her in the same schoolgirl getup as all the other actresses.

Sounds as if Kim Nana is meant to be an iljin (delinquent, bully, gangster, etc.).

Crayon Pop have played with iljin tropes too, for instance in the Bar Bar Bar story MV. I read somewhere that a bandage on the forehead (as worn by ChoA during Dancing Queen promotions) has iljin connotations, because it implies a propensity for headbutting people.

For now I'll say briefly, provocatively, that, for all the posts I've run into about the Asian idea of cute ("aegyo" and such), "sexy" actually seems to be the stranger term, not just in Korea but in America.That's because "sexy" often gets folded into "cute ( ... )
