What is the World Coming to? A question that has been asked countless time. I ask it today, but a little different. What is my home town (Greenville, Texas) coming to

Only problem with the news media is that I think they are cleaning it up. I was told that he blew his head off in the band hall, in front of all his classmates.
I knew him, though not well. His older brother and I have known each other since Kindergarten, and I actually can say I remember when Joseph was born.
I discussed the situation with my neighbor, who characterized it by saying, "what fucking idiot kills their fool self as a teenager? At that age you don't even have the slightest clue what life is about." To which I replied, "Life is getting older just to pay bills and work until you die, and placate yourself with the fact that every day is going to be just like the one before it." Lester (my neighbor) is a bit more of a loudmouth than even me, and also more opinionated, if you can believe that.
the Herald Banner addressed the 'rumor' that he shot himself infront of others, but they said that is what they heard, but were unable to find any witnesses who could attest to that..
thank you for your comments. I usually just post dumb shit about what i did over the weekend and what's going on at work, but this one really got to me. As well, i usually don't post public blogs either. I suppose my only hope is that someone reads what I said and acts upon it, even a little.
and besides, James, growing up is not so bad. Paying bills and working all the time seems to become mundane, but it is up to ourselves to break they cycle and realize that life is worth living, and worth trying hard to be happy.
I saw this on the news last night. I was also shocked because I went to school there also. We are thinking about putting Madi in private school, but I guess it may not be much better than public schools. I don't know. I plan to be involved in Madi's life, probably to the point where she will get annoyed. I hope if there is something going on, then I will be the first to know.

Unfortunately it's more than likely this kid took a permanent solution to the temporary problems of teenagers. My daughter knew this kid, I know the family....very sad.
