Over the past year or so I've been making a conscious effort to live a more healthier lifestyle. Getting out and exercising as well as watching what I eat. I wouldn't consider myself on a strict diet, but just being conscious about portion control and not eating too many unhealthy or fried foods and such ( Read more... )

It's really great that you've taken steps to have a healthy lifestyle. We really all need to follow your example. I walk to work and I've taken to walking up the stairs to the office each morning and I know I'll be better for it in a few months if I keep it up. I love the sound of the shakes especially since I'm not a big breakfast fan. At some point I'm going to have to look into getting some of these powders and trying the combinations. :3 I think my brother has a massive jar of chocolate protein powder so maybe I'll have to experiment with some fruit and try some drinks too. Walking is great! It's free to do and you always feel so good to get some fresh air (providing the weather is co-operating). I've also been taking the stairs up instead of the elevator at work. I'm not having much success getting my coworkers to do it with me though ;(

As for the shakes, you can make them without the protein powder too! Really, you just add it in for the nutritional benefit. Without it, they'd just be fruit smoothies which are equally as delicious~!

I haven't really been that creative with my shakes but I'm someone who can eat the same thing day after day without issues XD Add to it I start work several hours before both of my roommates and the Bullet would wake them up~

I usually throw in protein powder (strawberry), frozen raspberries, and skim milk. I'll mix it up with other frozen fruit too (mangos or strawberries) but I find raspberries usually blend the easiest~

I wasn't too impressed with the frozen peaches I bought. They hardly tasted like anything at all. I'll have to try the rapsberries...

Shake shake shake! Shake shake shake!!!

Shakes and smoothies!

I would have never though to try these things as a breakfast substitute. To me, breakfast has always been cereal or hearty oatmeal, or on weekends big bacon & eggs type deals.

More liquified food! Of course! Genius!
