At first, Hina thinks that she shouldn't bother this man, but, well... after giving her Pokemon to the nurse, she sits down next to him and offers some tissues.]

[At first, Byrne watches the man silently with a downcast expression. This...this just hits too close to home for him. So close that he just has to say something. Byrne understands the painful feeling of separation. Being miles and miles away from his daughter and best friend, unsure if or when he'll see them again, fearing what may happen to them while he's unable to be there, wondering how they must feel to suddenly have their loved one missing from their life...it's something he can empathize with entirely, especially in this situation.

...Well, okay, Byrne is lucky in that his daughter is actually here - forgetting the whole 'she's suddenly 17 when she was 10 the last time I saw her' fact. But Byrne is 100% positive that he'd be feeling the same way as this man if Kay wasn't here. It would have been a morose Byrne Faraday sitting in that spot, glancing over a photograph of wife and child...if you switched the wife with an old man in a trenchcoat, of course.
