Logceptions are the best.

As Seiji had said he would, he had taken the entire week preparing for the event and emptying the extra bedroom he had in order to turn it into a miniature ballroom of sorts. The balcony too had been decorated in order to fit the sort of atmosphere people would want when going outside for fresh air.

The various drinks had been fairly easy to acquire as well as extra cookware he thought Hamuko might need in order to correctly cook some of the dishes.

He was right in the middle of polishing some chairs and tables when he heard Hamuko calling to him from outside. He takes a few moments to finish off the table before heading over to the door and opening it for her, raising a brow as he noticed just how many bags she had. "Do you need some help with that?"

"That would be nice. Thanks." She mentioned, struggling to take another step into his apartment and bags swinging beside her. Hamuko glanced around, admiring the place. It definitely was a lot bigger than hers. Of course, it was the richer district. She took a deep breath, placing a couple of bags down at her feet.

"So, which dish would you like me to start preparing?" Heck, she wasn't completely inside his apartment when she asked this. The clock was ticking. And she only had four hours. This needed to be perfect!

"No problem." He doesn't hesitate at all to pick up the bags she had put on the floor, and even looks through the contents of a few of them, wanting to make sure they had anything. Not that he would really know, he usually had the private chef at home do these sorts of things for him.

"Well the one that would take the longest is fish filet, so get started on that. Follow with the salad and soup, then the takoyaki. The desert should be made last. The kitchen's over there." Seiji gestured towards it with his hand before walking over to leave the bags on the kitchen counter top.

Even though he had been initially nervous about attending, he'd been navigating big cities for years. Finding his way around proved to not be as difficult as he'd thought.

"Hello~ Masaomi Kida has arrived!" He called into the door, pounding his fist against it. "Anyone home?"

Hamuko glanced up from the sink to the door when she heard his voice. A smile crossed her lips as she rinsed her hands under the warm water. All her dinner preparations were complete. The kitchen was spotless. And she even had a bit of time to clean herself up. Upon turning the water faucet and shutting the water off, she shook her hands dry and made her way to the door, wondering where the hell Seiji was.

"Masaomi-kun! You're early!" She exclaimed as she opened the front door.

"Aaah, yeeeah... it took me less time to find the place than I thought it would, I guess." Kida laughed, pushing right in through the door and taking a look around.

No one...?

"Am I really the only one shown up so far...? Lame."

"You're here early." She said, putting her hands on her hips. "What did you expect?" It was common for the party to really start maybe half an hour to an hour after its start time. Hamuko side-stepped and allowed him space to walk through.

Despite that he got an address, Kotetsu was a little bit late. He assumed no one would come in time anyways, as the most guests were in their Teens he assumed. Now that he rang the bell, he waited fro someone to open the door for him.

Seiji was just in the process of starting to play his piano, so when he first heard the doorbell ring he paid it no mind. It was only after a few moments passed that he sighed and stood up in order to walk over to the door, might as well be a good host.

He opened the door and took a step back in order to let the man in. "Welcome to the party. And you are...?" He really should have had Hamuko write down some sort of guest list, it would make this a lot easier.

Just at the very moment where he maybe was fumbling with his hat out of boredom the door opened. grinning a bit sheepishly he looked at the young man and held one hand out to him to shake while the other took his hat off. "I'm Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, nice to meet you..." It really is awkward if you have a name but no fitting face.

Seiji reached out to return the handshake before gesturing toward a coat and hat rack near the entrance. "Seiji Shitara, it's a pleasure, sir."

"The party's going a bit slow at the moment but feel free to sit down and help yourself to some food and drinks."

As they arrived at the door, Kenji turned his attention to Kazushi, debating on knocking just yet. It was best to have a pep-talk before they went in there and had a problem.

"I know you've probably never been to a legit party, dude... but that's all going to change. You're going to love it." He teased him and playfully nudged him in the shoulder with his elbow. "And you're GOING to have a few drinks, right? Right..?"

Never mind that this part was very likely to be a sausage-fest. As far as he'd seen, Hamuko was the only female in the city...

He could only hope he'd be pleasantly surprised...

There was no point in arguing with Kenji, Kazushi knew. He'd been to loads of legit parties! Heck, the pool party he had thrown in sixth grade had been the talk of the school all year. Kenji had been there, too, so he should have known better.

"Drinks?" Kazushi asked, rubbing his shoulder where Kenji had nudged him, "I mean, yeah, I'll have some drinks if I get thirsty or something. Why do you suddenly care so much about dehydrating?"

Kenji stared back at him blankly, his mouth dropping open in disbelief. Kazushi really was just... absolutely dense.

"... Alcohol, dude. I'm talking about alcohol." He sighed and tossed an arm around his neck, leaning in close. "You know--Beer, rum... the works...?"

He loved Kazushi to death--in a completely heterosexual way--but his best friend could be so stupid sometimes.

There was going to be drinking at this party? Oh gosh, he hadn't even thought about that. He'd never had an alcoholic drink in his entire life. He didn't even know what alcohol tasted like. "Are we gonna be breaking the law, dude? I don't know what the drinking age here is... We could go to jail!"

And he couldn't imagine what a drunk Kenji would be like. He'd be sitting there, snacking from the bowl of chips and making new friends, and Kenji would probably run off trying to sleep with some girl, leaving him all alone. If Kenji got too drunk, how would they get home? He didn't really know the metro that well, he didn't even know what district they were in right now!

Why could they just have a pool party instead?

Adachi lightly knocked on the door to the apartment, honestly a little nervous about being there. There was always the chance that... rather than gathering any information, he'd just look strange in a party full of teenagers.

..... and secretly, he hated teenagers.

"Mmm... Hello?" He called, trying the handle lightly just in case whatever loud music they could be playing blocked out the sound of his knocking.

Luckily for him the only music playing is some rather soft classical music. Seeing how it was at his house and he expected this party to be formal, it was only fitting that Seiji play whatever music he liked.

"Hold on," he called to the door as he set down his drink and made his way over to actually open it.

"Oh, it's just you. Well come in." He steps back to let him do so. "Help yourself to any drinks or food, the bathroom's over there, don't touch the piano in the living room, the pseudo-ballroom is over there, and the balocney's open too." Seiji gestures in this direction and that as he goes through the various rooms and rules.

Adachi stared down at Seiji blankly, obviously not very use to taking orders and rules from a kid. He sighed, fitting himself with a smile, "Right, right--I mostly just wanted to come by and ask everyone a few questions, if that's alright."

Mingling with teenagers? No, definitely not what he'd had in mind.

UnLuckily for him, Seiji was very used to giving orders to adults, so he honestly found nothing wrong with it. "Just as a few questions? Like what?" He had to make sure he wouldn't make the other guests uncomfortable with weird questions.
