China Imposes Pre-Olympics Visa Crackdown

BEIJING -- Chinese police are stepping up enforcement of visa restrictions for foreigners living in Beijing, in an apparent sign of the government's heightening anxiety about the Olympics next year.

I just watched a United Nations meeting which basically ended with China saying that it was because of the Beijing Olympic Games that the tension has been lifted from the Taiwan Strait for now. O_O

I really have no idea what life is going to be like in Beijing over the next year. It should be ... interesting :)
