It's Sunday night 8pm. I'm still at the office and I'm back at work tomorow. It is true, today is technically my birthday - but I'm cancelling my birthday this year. There will be no festivities. I've read almost all her books as Tey, one by her as Daviot. She's not as easy to find as she should be but hopefully one day I'll make it through her entire catalogue. She didn't write THAT many books.

You're very kind. Thank you so much! I'm sure everything will be fine, too. :D

It's like the latest Patricia Cornwall, the latest John Grisham, the latest Nora Roberts, the latest Dan Brown.

Ooops sorry :D It should read It's like how we refer to the latest Patricia Cornwall, the latest John Grisham, the latest Nora Roberts, the latest Dan Brown. ie. criticising how each book is like the last :D

Sorry about the rotten birthday. Hopefully the celebrations in Australia will make up for it.

And I love that description of authors and their prepackaged nature...though sometimes this makes it easy if what you want is depression down on the farm and they tell you it's like some other book which features weathered men, harsh winters, and bankruptcy! Not that that is a category I find particularly alluring.

Thank you. It's lovely to be back home again. It's just nice to be able to understand everything without effort again and it's so clean and peaceful here :D

As to pre-packaging, I bought a few Nora Roberts novels here because I was in a mood for a guaranteed happy ending with heroic heroines and steadfast heroes ;)
