重慶森林，Chungking Express Pic Spam [part 1 of errrr several] is here. This is 故事第二, Story #2, but I'm not sure how many parts there will be because I went a bit cap-happy. So this part of the story ends on a cliff hanger :P
California Dreaming is playing. This is the second glimpse of Tony Leung's character Cop 663. I like the gradual build up, his face in shadow and then we eventually see his face.
First meeting with the elfin Faye who works at the Midnight Express.
I like this image a lot.
Later, Cop 663 returns and is ordering food for his girlfriend. He always orders the same thing until the boss of the takeaway suggests that he should order something else.
Faye peeking out surreptitiously as Cop 663 talks to the owner of the Midnight Express.
These two are always looking at each other sneakily. Faye's peeking at Cop 663, Cop 663's eyes follow her around the room without meaning to do so.
At what or whom is Faye looking?
Cop 663 outside on the street, standing in shadows.
Cop 663 is talking to the boss, but he glances over at Faye. You can see he's really looking at her.
Faery Faye is clearly unsettled by his scrutiny.
But he keeps looking even after she walks away.
Here, Faye's washing windows and Cop 663 is looking at her absently. It seems to be absently anyway.
Now it's Faye peeking over her shoulder at Cop 663.
Cop 663 continues to talk to the boss but he glances up at Faye from time to time.
Faye watches Cop 663 walking away.
Back story for Cop 663. He had a torried affair with a skanky flight attendant. Ok she might not have been skanky. I just didn't like her :)
Faye's washing the floor here but manages to get in Cop 663's way over and over. :)
He keeps glancing over at her.
Skanky Girlfriend comes in to leave a letter dumping Cop 663 and also give him his apartment key back. Faye is rather fascinated by the very glamorous woman and looks her over curiously.
Skanky Girlfriend catches Faye in the act and gives her a glare. Faye looks so cute here :)
She continues to peek over her shoulder curiously.
Ho hum, I don't think Skanky Girlfriend is that alluring :P
Faye peeks as she reaslises her boss is steaming open the envelope to read its contents.
A sound of sympathy and disbelief makes her look over her shoulder.
To where her boss is reading the break up letter.
This is Faye looking startled.
When she realises that all of the kitchen hands are also reading the letter.
And the dish washer is also reading the letter.
No one at the Midnight Express wants to be around when Cop #663 discovers that he has been dumped by his skanky girlfriend. The boss is the first to bail.
Then the kitchen hands, which amuses Faye.
Then the dish washer leaves, too!
Leaving Faye all alone in the shop to dance to California Dreaming - with tongs :)
Cop #663 approaches from the street, face in shadow again ...
