Prison Break : Picspam of favourite Michael/Sara moments: 1.19: The Key
Last one tonight, I promise. So sorry for any one who is not a Michael/Sara fan. This must be like hell or something. 60 images in this one so it's definitely not dial-up friendly. I was just checking my tag for 'pic spam' and was deleting 'picspam' and it said: "Are you sure you want to remove the selected tag? The operation is not reversible." Good grief, it makes it sound like an oophorectomy or something :P Anyway, spoilers of course! Don't click unless you've seen the episode, don't mind spoilers or have already read my post Prison Break: Sara & Michael for those who don't want to watch the series :). *sigh* Michael is plotting how to get the key from the infirmary from Sara so that they can escape.
Wentworth Miller looks kind of different in this scene. Younger, and his face and eyes look different. Normally he looks slicker, but he looks like a little boy in this scene. Hard to explain. Compare how he looks below to how he looked eg. in the riot episode here. It's like he's a different person.
He's very intense.
Michael makes a sound like he's gasping before he kisses her and then Sara's hands come up to touch his face.
"What do you want from me, Michael?" Poor Sara sounds so vulnerable and her hands are still resting on his face. I feel so bad for her.
"Sara," he says and both are caught up in the moment but the glimpse of the key again makes us question why he's doing what he's doing. "I need you to do something for me."
"What?" When he hesitates in his response, we're left wondering if he's going to ask her for the key.
"Wait for me." I found myself unsure of whether he doesn't ask her for the key because he's forgotten about it or whether he realises that he just can't because she's so clearly vulnerable. "Wait for me." is such a romantic thing for him to say that you wonder why he says it. The romantic take on it is that he looked into her eyes and realised that that's what he wanted from her. The cold assessment was that he just found himself unable to ask for the key.
Sara looks taken aback and says nothing.
Then he reaches up to stroke her face and you get the sense that he's forgotten all about the key.
"It won't always be like this." I have to say that Michael's voice is very emotional here. If he's acting, he's a damned good actor. Otherwise, he really is affected by what's taken place and he really does care for her.
"This room .. this place ..."
Sara gives such a sad smile and even kisses his hand tenderly.
"Until then, I can't," she says. Again, I feel so bad for Sara. She wears her heart on her sleeve.
"We can't...." she tells him and he looks really taken aback.
Then an annoying guy comes in! :P
"Damnit," she mutters. I mutter something worse than that :P
"I can't," she tells him.
"...and I've gotta go."
Sara leaves and Mihcael's left behind - feeling startled or guilty ... it's hard to tell.
Hmm. What on earth is going on in that head of his.
