This was part of my Abhorsen blatherings but that got too long, so I split it out here.

Lieutenant Francis Tindall, Obscure Character

Lieutenant Francis Tindall is an officer with the Ancelstierran army posted to the Perimeter. I'm sure no one else ever noticed him except me, but I fell madly in love with him after reading Abhorsen. :)

The first deliberate Stealth Post that that has worked in yonks! :) As it's just a link off a main post, I wanted it to be stealthy so that people weren't overwhelmed with Nixiness :) It's also kind of embarrassing. Hee!

I can't explain it, I just like Francis Tindall from the moment he appears and throws a Charter light spell like a cricket ball.... from then on, I just prayed that he wasn't going to meet a grisly end like so many in the novel did ...

*squee* i love francis tindall as well! i'm always looking at the minor characters because they're always the ones that catch my most interest and tends to become one of my favorites above the main ones but here he's on equal footing with the rest :P lol after reading your abhorsen post i just had to read this one about francis as well! :D when i first met him reading abhorsen, i was so afraid he was going to die at the end, sacrificing his life like the others did but *phew* and it might be a bit bad to say but i was so so glad he didn't die ^_^

I was in constant terror that he was going to die. Garth Nix is cruel, cruel, cruel to his characters. They could all die at a drop of a hat and frequently do! Absolutely no one is safe, especially if they happen to be cute, polite Ancelstierran officers who call women ma'am :) I wanted to know more about him.

Ah well... there is fan fic :)
