HB: 馒头 mántou, smart cards, people-watching, dust & housework, moisturiser

No idea why, but I've started eating 馒头 (mántou) again ie steamed bun - sometimes with a filling, sometimes plain. I've been having hot plain ones and dipping them in sweetened condensed milk that has been heated up. Both are heated up using the microwave and it only takes a few seconds. I love your people watching descriptions--and with pictures no less! Do people realize you're taking their picture, or do you have a tiny cellphone camera or something? That is so funny.

I do have a camera in my mobile phone but I think that they know I'm taking their photo as - although it's possible that they think I'm taking a photo of the whole cafe :) My brother has warned me that one day, artsy, beret-wearing students will discover my livejournal and beat me up but I think that unlikely :)

Besides, I suspect all conversations sound weird/pretentious when taken out of context. When talking with friends, I often wonder whether an eavesdropper would think that we're frightfully earnest and la di da ....
