Firefly: Mal/River mini pic spam [updated with resources & more images]

May 08, 2006 20:38

How sad, I don't even have a Firefly icon let alone a Mal/River icon.

Why do I think that these two are cute together? It's the whole eye-contact thing!! Apologies to Mal/Inara shippers and Mal/Kaylee shippers :) ( Mini Pic-Spam )

pairings that make no sense, summer glau, firefly, mal/river, shippiness, lonely ships

You're welcome! I just updated with a whole bunch of other useful links, too. Who knew others were interested in the same 'ship' as me ;)

Hey no apologizing for being a Mal/River shipper! Nothing wrong w/ that! I ship Mal with everybody... cause he's just so loveable and broken. *G*

Thanks for the picspam.

Yes he's just so troubled. :) Unbelievably though I found out that there's an LJ comm out there dedicated to the pairing plus I found a whole bunch of pretty icons and interesting essays. :) I love how the Internet reinforces my weirdness. :)

I have a question. What did you honestly think about the movie? I get the whole Mal/River thing, I could even see it if she was just a bit older.

i never really got mal/kaylee, but i liked mal/inara. but now that you bring it up, mal/river would be quite interesting.

I think they're both very interesting characters.

I can see why people go for Mal / Kaylee but I suppose for me, Kaylee's just too attached too Simon for me to see her with anyone else. Mal and Inara have chemistry but they're just never going to get there!

Random person stops to say: Aww, awesome pics. I am mighty fine with Mal/River, opposed to Mal/Kaylee. Because Kaylee is sooo obviously meant to be with Jayne. :D

*laugh* Nice to see you. I never know how people find my journal randomly! I don't post to comms very often :D

I adore Mal/River - I'm still trying to finish my fic but I think they have a certain chemistry and connection that is fascinating. The age difference doesn't bother me because hell I read Georgette Heyer in which the hero is frequently quite a bit older than the heroine.

I actually remember how I found you! (That doesn't happen very often--the superpowers of recall, they are fast diminishing, sadly.) I came for the Cedric/Hermione, and lurk for all the pretty, shiny pictures and cultural commentary!

I quite like Mal/River for the same reasons--there's an undeniable connection of *some* sort there, for sure...Although it greatly amuses me to speculate on Simon's reaction to that being pursued. ;)

Age difference, schmifference. Snape/Hermione is my first and longest lasting HP pairing of choice--I scoff at having an issue with age. Some characters necessitate the additional maturity and life experience an older mate would bring them. River and Hermione (in my opinion) are two such ladies. :D

Also, meant to say but I forgot: I have not read any Georgette Heyer, but if that's a common theme in her works, I bet I'd like 'em! So I was poking around Amazon, and holy wow was she a prolific writer. Um, suggestions where to start? *charming eyes turn your direction*
