That thing about Unit 731? I've never heard it before but it's beyond horrifying.

And on BSG front, I am glad I wasn't the only one who was sickened by the "morality" shown.

You can imagine that certain parties are unwilling to let their involvment and complicity in those atrocities be widely known. They called it a damn bargain, this country, to get that information from the Japanese, because of course they'd never be able to do the research themselves.

*sigh* I'm surprised anyone else here has heard about the deal cut by General Douglas MacArthur .... I know why they wanted that data. As you say when would they get that kind of data themselves - but it's just horrifying ...

I don't remember when I found out about this, exactly, but it stuck in my mind, it was so horrific. Absolutely disgusting.
