Listen to what they say - come in September. The weather is gorgeous, it's not too hot, it's not too cold. December ... not so good. Right now it's -3°C/27°F with a possible low of -9°C/15°F - the highest being a warm and toasty -2°C/28°F. Don't believe me? Yahoo! Weather tells me so ( Read more... )

In my DC suburb right now it is 24 Fo/-4o C. I wore my down vest under my winter coat today, plus multi-layers everywhere...if you tipped me over, I would have bounced.

So today, I feel your pain. ;) However, where I grew up, it is normally in the 20s-30s during the winter. Here in the D.C. area, winter is more like 30-40s, sometimes higher. But right now...brrrrr!

I hope your drain gets fixed! That would put me in a massively grumpy mood. With my longish hair, the drain was always getting blocked, but lately, I think I must have a good fairy about because it hasn't blocked in ages.

Okay, I just read I hope your brain gets fixed! and was, like, hmmm, she said it was broken, but isn't this a bit rude? ;)

And then I read on and wondered what your long hair had to do with your brain...

My brain needs fixing too!!!

Actually if winterspel had said: "I hope your brain gets fixed" that wouldn't be too far wrong. Except it would be wishful thinking ;)

My brain is beyond repair!

I am seriously freaked out by our simultaneous (I think you had a few seconds on me) same icon usage.

Images of bouncing folks in the frozen wasteland :::brrrrr-ing::: in sympathy.

wind is the worst - it's that cut into your bones and scoop out your soul type wind that makes winter so Icky.

Water floating in the bathroom is NOT good - BUT - and this is the stinkiest part - even IF plumbers speak your native tongue, they pretend not to understand you. I suspect it's a part of Plumber Training to look at women like we are DNA challenged, alas, born without a plumbing gene. Therefore, we are unworthy of even the Hint of Knowledge that the Plumber of Power clutches to himself like a sacred mystery. This does Not stop them from handing you a fat bill with a smug reminder that he can put it all - ALL - back just like he found it.... ::sigh::

Winter AND Flu AND Plumbing situation ... you NEEeeeeeeeeed warm slippers! Crocheting like a fiend for you :)

Can I just say that you have by far, the most thought-provoking LJ posts ever. Each one has such purpose and genuinity, pure art compared to my whiney dribble ♥

In any case, he's much better than the other repair man who always likes to snoop around in my bedroom, peek into the kitchen and weigh himself Wow. Invasion of privacy, much? The snooping around the bedroom is certainly very disconcerting.

It is so hot over here right now, I'm seriously contemplating taking a dip later. Hope you're doing well ♥

I'd be well if I wasn't just so cold!! :) Thanks for the nice words about my posts but your posts are definitely not whiney dribble. I don't comment as much as I'd like to other people's journals because I find I've blathered so much at my own that I run out of words :P

Glad to hear that your day was better today. Hunky doctors help ;)

Just in attempt to make you feel better - it is minus -8 in Omsk (very warm for this time of year in my city of birth and 30 yeas)! They like to cuddle their babies in doonas and put them onto the balconies to sleep there; when my husband saw it, he was totally petrified!

Please, somebody, wrap me in a blanket and carry me around I had a marveolus duck down duvet in Russia ** wraps koala in the vurtual duck down duvet ** ;)
