I don't really have a lot of thoughts beyond, "That's fascinating," I'm afraid. I hadn't made the connection between abusive behaviour being normalized in popular culture and the way women (especially very young women) could be conditioned to view the interactions between Rey and Kylo Ren as romantic. I am intensely curious as to how the writers are going to explain Ren going to the Dark Side when neither Finn nor Rey (characters who've known genuine deprivation, both physical and emotional) did.The novelisation has this interesting exchange between Leia and Han ( ... )
