Pondering Fan Fiction and Feedback (again!)

This post here was a really interesting post to read because even though I’m heavily into the fandoms I like, I read a pretty small amount of fan fiction - really, really small and I tend to stick to writers I know and trust or recommendations from people I know and trust.  I generally know quite quickly a few paragraphs in if I’m going to stay and

I have to say I don't always comment on fanfic but if I enjoyed a fic I will leave kudos. It's just that sometimes I don't know what to say and I feel bad if I just throw out a loved it!!! If I feel like I can articulate something better I will leave a comment as well as kudos. I do prefer when I have commented that the author reply back so I know they appreciated it. I like to know that my comment meant as much to them as their fic did to me.
