I am really glad you find this show interesting - I know how hard to be believed legal shows can be for someone who worked in a legal firm. It is like majority of shows about anything hacker-related (and these seems to be popular noways) usually make me laugh (in a bad way).
I am still in big love with "The Good Wife". I particular like Alicia's character. I find legal stories themselves to be very moving but at the same time real (we haven't seen anything OTT or cliched yet) the best thing about the show is the relationships part. So subtle and SO SO good. Those 2 Cary's scenes were AWESOME. I don't work in a law firm but I find Cary's character also very easy to recognize.
I've watched all the episodes so far and have enjoyed them. I turn my brain off for the law bits but the interaction between the characters is excellent.
I'm quite enjoying The Good Wife. It's just got slightly more to it than your average legal drama. I like that they're looking at the relationships and Alicia's life outside the courtroom as the actual cases aren't overly interesting. It would be nice to see more plea negotiations and to have the occasional client be not innocent.
That exchange between Cary and Will (whom I keep on calling "Dan" in my head because I love Josh Charles in Sports Night) was my favourite moment in the last episode. Very subtle and well played by both actors.
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a romantic relationship between Will and Alicia somewhere down the line as long as they handled it well. Right now I'd like to see more of their friendship.

Although the legal storylines are very shaky, I think that the acting is very good. I'm going to keep watching even though I really do not like the husband. He seems so smarmy to me ...
I haven't watched this series yet as I didn't find the premise that interesting but I like all the cast members. Also, several on my flist seem to like it. I may have to give a try. Though, I already watch way too much!
I already watch way too much! I am totally the same and now that I'm back in Australia, this is proving a real problem. We have capped bandwidth here! The pain
