In Leshan
I'm in Leshan. It's really hot but I'm not complaining because the sunny, cheerful heat is a change to the somewhat cold and depressing mountains around Kanding. I just realised I'm a sun person and need a lot of sunlight even though I call myself a creature of darkness and spend a lot of time inside and in the shade. I like there to be sunlight

Wow sounds like you are seeing so much Koala! I hope you are having a great time even battling the evils of filthiness.
It must help that you have some idea of the language - I can't imagine trying to do it without knowing the language. I didn't discover whether you are getting photos or not - did you bring at least a disposable camera at least to get shots of all thse beautiful places you are seeing.
