雅-MIYAVI- Japan Tour 2010

2010/04/011 Osaka Shangri-La

Live Report #7

On April 11th, 2005, this was all brand new to me. I stood in line outside of DRUM Be-1 in Nagoya with no idea what to expect; though I'd lived in Japan for a while I was still hopeless with the language, and far from integrated culturally. I had rarely, if ever, ventured out ( Read more... )

It was seriously a once-in-a-lifetime sort of experience. What a precious little lady, and what an amazing night!

BTW - I ate a whole pizza for you today XD I may be losing weight on tour still, but it's not from lack of effort to keep it on!

Grandma turned me to mush! Cutest thing I have ever freakin' seen. He must be her favorite XD

Hey, you're going to the Dallas show, right? You gotta tell me how that goes!

How far is Dallas from your house? And do you have a local airport....? Does your airport have Continental flights...? If the answers to the last two questions are yes then maaaaaayyyybe I can help you out; I still have a couple of frequent flyer miles leftover. It wasn't enough to get Flip out to L.A., but there might be enough of them to get you to Dallas somehow - and anything I can do to get my CoMYV girls to the shows, I'm on it!

Singin' Elvis songs to grandma..how sweet is that? I bet she had a blast seeing how much fun ppl have with her lil boy. ^^ I hope I get to go to a rock show when I'm that age...
Danpatsushiki..LOL
If it was indeed a lost bet..one can only help but wonder if it could have been the other way around. ^^
Hope coba found someone more skilled at running shears to finish up the job..
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It sounds like it was a really magical night. Rest up and enjoy the fuckn' crazy tour pt. 2!

To be honest, I really wish it had been Miyavi who lost the bet; in 2008, he seriously considered having his band cut off all his extensions during the last song of the tour finale - then coming back out onstage for the encore with a buzzed head! I guess I am the only one who would find that a seriously bitchin' move over here, though - the Japanese kids practically begged him not to do it.

Right now I'm so beat that just staying awake for a couple hours at a time is hard; I'll try to get the Kyoto review up tomorrow, though! <3

Yes, I remember him talking abt that then, and when I was reading this, for a second I was like..OMG he did it this time! LOL..I think it would be funny , and although the extensions DO look good..back in 2008 it seemed like they were drivin him fuckin crazy, so I'm not sure why he had to go and put them in again..well..except for artistic effect of course..and maybe..for that Samuai FEELING..lol The only downside I see..handbanging MIGHT be slightly less satisfying without any hair to shake around..^^

To be honest, the new extensions are already looking pretty ratty XD. I really liked the way he had his hair on the international circut - it was the only thing about him that looked good after a while! But I'll take a happy, healthy Miyavi with dirty punker hair over a sick and miserable Miyavi with pretty hair anyday. Headbanging is fun any way you slice it - actually, it might be nicer for us kids up front if he did shave his head, because then we wouldn't be getting whipped in the face with his half-dead hair extensions XD
