Thus, when an attractive, atheletic woman jogged along one of the paths in view, their attention was instantly riveted upon her.
"We'll take the upper path," Julia said, indicating herself and her mate, Vern. "You two cut her off at the lower end of the park."
Theodore and Raina took off at an easy trot, which outpaced the poor human quickly. Meanwhile, Julia led Vern along the upper path, before cutting down to the path directly beside the woman.
"Good evening, darling," Julia purred. "Mind if we join you?"

He laughed as he sprouted his own set of perfect fangs and lunged at her from behind. Julia made a similar leap for her left shoulder.

"Look, I'm telling you, Dean. I know what I saw, I know what I heard, and this," he rattled the paper again, "isn't it. I know they have to sanitize and whitewash what happened that night, but this account isn't anywhere near accurate. It's a complete fabrication. 'Teenagers with spraypaint', 'graffiti everywhere'." He lowered his voice, looking around. "It wasn't spraypainted graffiti, Dean. It was charred vamps. I don't think any friends they had would be too happy right now."

His eyes narrowed and his head whipped around when he heard the gunshot. "On the other hand, maybe we do have something better to do."

As they reached the street, he noted a two people running ahead of them. Their faces were horrible, teeth long and pointed.
"Well, score one for the little brother." He sped up, trying to catch up with the fast moving creatures. "I wonder where they're off to in such a hurry."

He heard the vampire's words, and for an instant they made his blood run cold. Focus, Sam. Dean can take care of himself. It wouldn't do for him to get distracted when he had some vamps of his own to take care of. His knife was in his hand as he circled around, angling for the best position to strike from.

"I shall take this one," Raina hissed. "Go help Julia with the other." She smiled sweetly at the new man, taking his stock. "You shall provide a lot of food for us. Or perhaps, we shall turn you, so Julia can have someone new."
She darted around him, wary of the knife, and looked for an opening.
