Logan was, in a word, infuriating. New York was even more so, if only because there weren't any readily available lonely, open stretches of road for him to work out his frustrations. The lack of scenic beaches wasn't doing anything to help his mood.
It didn't really matter right at the moment, he supposed, as his main concern was returning to the Foundation before he was missed. He had a feeling his nocturnal ramblings wouldn't be much appreciated. If nothing else, he might be able to get in some time at the test track later on that morning - not ideal, but it would do.
The sun was already an hour over the horizon by the time he arrived back at the grounds of the Mansion, and with it the stirrings of a shift change. It would make slipping back into his garage unnoticed difficult, if not impossible, but hopefully the employees and technicians that were out and about wouldn't take any notice or ask any questions. He could always claim insomnia!
Making his way slowly across the grounds toward the garage, he found himself looking forward to settling in for a day of rest and re-charging. So long as Logan kept his mouth shut. He sighed inwardly. There wasn't anything officially on the agenda for the day, as it was taking longer than expected for the Foundation in New York to establish itself - but it would, of that he had no doubt, and when it did things would be busy enough. For now though he appreciated the downtime, and intended to take full advantage of it.
