When she laid back down near him, Harvey stirred.

"Nadine?" he asked quietly.

He was sleepy, not quite at the point where he remembered they shouldn't be so close. He only saw that she'd shifted, sat up even, and he wondered if something was wrong.

"I was just checking the clock," Nadine replied. She knew she should get up, but she'd felt like she should stay in bed until he woke up. "It's still pretty early."

Even with the dream gone, she didn't want to move. Getting up meant facing the reality that this was the only time he'd hold her this close.

He moved a hand to her hip, drawing her closer to him. "You should go back to sleep. You had a long night."

She closed her eyes, settling her head back against his chest. She figured she could enjoy it while it lasted. "And you didn't?"
