"Hikarucchi, please come out," Midori begged.

"I don't wanna!" Hikaru cried from the other side of the dressing room door.

Midori sighed. About fifteen minutes ago, Hikaru locked in the dressing room. The producer, the director, or even Koyama could get him to come out. And the show had to start in seven minutes.

Yabu, who had just gotten out of his dressing room saw the crowd in front of the younger boy's dressing room and frowned slightly.

"What's wrong Midori-san?" he asked walking over.

"It's Hikarucchi," she replied. "He's locked himself in the room."

Yabu panicked slightly. Something must be extremely wrong with him.

"We have to start the show in five minutes," the producer told him.

"What do you suggest we do?" Midori asked the producer.

"It's simple. We break in the room and get him out."

"No!" Yabu exclaimed. "Hika-chan's shy enough! If you do that you'll scare him!"

He turned to Midori, a pleading look on his face.

"Please let me talk to him," he said. "I think I can get him to come out."

Midori smiled.

"Okay," she said. "You do it Yabucchi."

Yabu smiled and reached under the potted plant next to the dressing room, pulling out a hair pin.

"Hika-chan, it's Yabu," he said, putting the pin through the key hole. "I'm coming in."

He twisted the doorknob and the door opened. He shut it quietly behind him.

"Hikaru?"

"Over here," said Hikaru. He was in the corner of the room curled into a ball, his face concealed.

"Hika-chan, what's wrong?" he asked softly, sitting next to him on the floor.

Hikaru shook his head.

"Hika, look at me and tell me please," Yabu said, and Hikaru reluctantly did as requested, his face red and puffy.

"Yabu-kun I . . . I can't do this," he said. "I can't go out there."

"Why not," Yabu asked, wrapping an arm around Hikaru, who leaned on him.

"All of those people out there," he said, hiccupping. "What if they don't like me?"

Hikaru began to silently cry on Yabu, who patted his head soothingly.

"Why wouldn't they?" Yabu asked. "You're a really sweet person, you sing really well, and you're completely adorable. I'm sure they'll love you!"

"But I'm so scared," Hikaru whispered.

"Everyone gets scared, Hika-chan," Yabu replied. "But there's what you do. Pick something on the set to stare at that makes you relax and focus on it. It always works."

Hikaru nodded.

"Now let's go give them a great show, okay?" Yabu said, smiling.

Hikaru smiled.

"Okay," he said.

The show began and occasionally Yabu would steal a glance at Hikaru. He wasn't interacting with the audience much and he still looked a little nervous. But, he was trying his best and that's all Yabu could ask for. He smiled and went to bouncing around the stage.

After a while, he felt that someone's eyes were on him. He turned to find that Hikaru was looking at him. The younger boy blushed slightly and sent Yabu two thumbs up. Yabu grinned and mirrored the action.

So Hikaru had chosen to stare at him. He'd have to glomp him later on in the show as a 'thank you'.

The End!
