Bumblebee is just relaxing lazily in the summer sunlight, sensors idly watching the family, another set using a judicially placed booster to keep an eye on Sam at home. Who said he couldn't be in two places at once? His engine revved slightly as Mikaela approached.

"Hey. How are things going?"

His reply is almost underhanded. Sly, in a way.

"Of course!" And he's off, burning rubber as he turns onto the main road, music blaring.

I like fast cars. I like the cars that go boom.

Though she's feeling a little affronted at his abrupt departure, she can't help but giggle at his choice of music. She waves goodbye, then turns and trots back to the barbecue to try and defuse the tension between her parents.

Sam was at home sulking watching TV when he heard the phone ring. "Huh...?" He got to his feet, snatched the cell off his desk, and answered.

"Hello?"

Ah, there he is.

"Hey, Sam. It's Bumblebee."

"Hey, Bee. What's up?" Sam may or may not be ridiculously jealous Bee is there and not him.

"Oh, not much. Just up here at the lake and I think Mikaela could use some company that's not a robot or her family." He's so subtle, that Bee.

"But, Bee...I wasn't invited. And my only mode of transportation is...kinda already there." Sam supposed he could use his mothers bike again. That, however was...less than desirable.

[yellowbeebot]

"I could come get you." It's not that far. Or long, for that matter, the way Bee drives.

Well, that made sense. "Oh. Um...okay, then." Sam seemed to immediately forget his previous statement of 'I wasn't invited' at the idea of seeing Mikaela.

"Good! I'll be by to get you soon." Click.

"Uh, oka--" And Bee was gone. Huh. Well, nothing to do but go outside and wait.
