Musical Meme

So.... This meme, again from hangingfire .

I picked the first 20 songs with lyrics from my Itunes shuffle and post the first line of the song.
You get to guess the song. Person who identifies the most songs and at least one of their performers, gets a special prize. Googling the lyrics IS cheating.

Buggery. I know the first one and not being able to remember it is making me nuts. It's a Cure song, I know that much. :P

8. "Boy in the Bubble", Paul Simon
11. "Who the Fuck?", PJ Harvey
14. "Ever Fallen In Love", originally by the Buzzcocks, but also covered by Nouvelle Vague
19. "The Passenger", originally Iggy Pop, but I bet you've got the Siouxsie and the Banshees version.
20. "Why Don't You Do Right", Rasputina.

13. Ministry...I think "Whip or the Chain" or possibly "Whip or Chain"

#4 is very familiar too. pretty sure I know who sings it, but not the song title...Sparklehorse. the chorus is "Knives of Summertime" so I will guess that as the song title...

#1 is of course "M".

Caveat: I was in the room when you were doing this... but I wasn't paying much attention to the specific songs and have a hard time with memorizing lyrics, so I feel justified in playing along.

I bet #5 is by The Knife -- "far away from the city" + "families" = "Forest Families"?

You, on the other hand, are a master at deciphering and memorization. Hence, I'm guessing that #15 is by the Cocteau Twins. Which song? Eek. No idea.

And with the depressimousness of the rest of the entries in the context of your musical tastes, I'm guessing there's something else from The Cure/The Glove and an Irish tune (or three). (Going out on a limb, aren't I?)
