That's awesome! It looks to me like you made the right sizing choice on the top, it fits you perfectly. My best friend is about the same size and I'm thinking maybe I should buy Big Girl Knits so I can make her presents that fit correctly other than hats and scarves. :D

It looks like everyone had a fantastic time at the book signing, and I'm going to add this post to my memories for the links to non-animal-fiber yarns that are good. My choir director is vegan and I've been dying to knit her something but there's not much available in my area except the crappy acrylic at Wal-Mart. Also, I had always heard that silk was warm but didn't realise it was warmer than wool--good to know; good excuse to make myself a nice silk sweater for next winter; I've been dying to knit with it ever since an eBay seller sent me all her colour cards including the worsted-weight silk she spins. It's so soft and shiny. Now if only I can justify the expense...

Cool. The book has also sorts of information on non-animal fibers. It may be worth the read.

I absolutely love those colours on you! That came out really nicely, and you seem to have sized it perfectly - it gives me hope that if I make that pattern it will come out as flattering. :) Good FO, and awesome that you met Singer herself!

Thanks. I know I broke "the rules" by creating horizontal stripes, but even Amy didn't think it was a big deal.
