A/N: For P100 prompt 746: Lost. Part 37 of my Ice Age drabble series and follows Fast Isn’t Everything.

“I do hope we’ve lost them,” I gasped, stumbling to a stop. Only the thought of those bloody lizards chasing us had kept me running this long and that adrenalin had faded.

Helen circled back, eyeing me critically. “We’ll have to build your stamina.”

I glared at her, although I might have to agree my recent illness had sapped my strength, not that I’d admit it to her. “Where are we?” I nodded when she remained silent. “I see, the good news is we’ve lost those bloody lizards. The bad is that we’re lost in the Triassic. How absolutely perfect.”
