A/N: For P100 prompt 664: The Pyramids. Set in my Wolfverse series.
Sarah knew her friends and colleagues thought she was mad. Why else would she have given up the opportunity to study the pyramids with the pre-eminent expert on Egypt? They just couldn’t understand why she’d swap the sunny environment of Egypt to study stone circles in cold, wet Britain.
Not that Sarah could ever tell them the truth, not if she wanted to be taken seriously. They’d dismiss her as a crackpot if they ever found out and sometimes Sarah wondered if they’d be right… Except she could never forget watching the man change into an animal before her eyes.
