A/N: For P100 prompt 527: Future predators. For 52 Weeks of Primeval - Future Predators. Set in 2.7, so sorry to Dave the Future Predator. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over it for me.
Its head hurt. It wanted to hunt but every time it tried, the pain became so intense it couldn't move.
The prey ran, heart being faster, and it was free to hunt. Claws raised to strike but the pain came again. Shrieking it agony as its prey took the chance to escape.
Dangling above its prey, the predator sensed its wait was over. Finally free to strike, it leapt towards its prey, the thudding heartbeat calling to it.
Pain exploded in its side as a roar deafened it, blindly it scrabble uselessly to free itself until it fell into silence.
