Nick stared at his wedding picture, they'd looked so happy then, so in love.
Where had it all gone wrong? The Helen he knew, who he'd fallen in love with, would never have helped Leek with his plan, would never have spoken to callously about changing the past just to see what happened.
Much as he hated to admit Lester was right about anything, Nick knew he must be when it came to Helen. He remembered Lester's words, that Helen could have come back at any time in the last eight years but hadn't.
That she'd left them - him - behind.
