Nick woke in the night to find his lover gone, his side of the bed cold. He rose intent on finding James and coaxing him back to bed, to sleep.
He glanced towards the 'observatory', it was in darkness but that didn't mean James wasn't in there. He'd hardly have a light on while using his telescope.
A growl from downstairs led Nick to James, bent over his laptop and typing furiously. Bloody hell, he'd known James was worried over that Johnson woman but there was no need to burn the midnight oil over her. “Come back to bed, James.”
