Connor had begged for his laptop, but his friends knew him too well. Without its distraction, the thoughts that tormented him each night crept in.
Did James love him? He said he did.
But then, how could he have let Connor think he was dead? Connor blinked back tears as he remembered the horror and devastation he'd felt when told the news.
Connor knew he loved James, but was that enough if he couldn't trust him? Did they have a chance a happiness? Connor needed to know, needed to talk to James.
Visiting hours had never seemed so far away.
