Connor was exhausted by the time he arrived back at the flat. He slumped on the settee and stared at nothing, blinking back the tears that threatened to fall.

Needing to concentrate on their plan to stop Burton and New Dawn had kept Connor going, had kept him from thinking about... But the museum had reminded him of what he had lost. Of laughing, kissing and just being with James.

Connor jolted to his feet, the silence in the flat oppressive without James' presence. He grabbed the phone and dialled a familiar number. “Could I come over? Just for tonight.”
