Oh, heart-breaking! Beautiful but utterly heart-breaking! I think you did a wonderful job describing Lester's thoughts and his state of mind as he contemplated suicide. His perspective is hazy, distraught and confused, which is what you would expect from someone who has had too much to drink and is possibly suffering from a breakdown. I'm glad he feels safe in Jenny's arms. It looks like she may have started to reach him at last.
