I'm glad you liked our house! We enjoyed having everyone over. :-)
Eric and I watched 21 last weekend, coincidentally. Well, I watched all of it and Eric watched the first half and then gave up because he was so annoyed with various aspects of it, including the basic premise that the main character couldn't take out loans to go to medical school like, oh, practically ALL MED STUDENTS.
It was a good party in that I feel like I got to know some people beyond a name-and-face level, but like I could've met so many more. Kudos on being savvy enough to get things catered. I never heard what went wonky with the order?
Huh! Until you brought it up again, I'd totally forgotten that for the first five minutes Meg & I yelled about how bogus that premise was. Thanks a lot for reminding me :-p
There was a mix-up regarding the amount of food, in that Eric ordered (and the guy he was ordering from) wrote down 2 full pans and 2 half pans, etc. (like for catering), but the people preparing the order thought it was 2 full orders and 2 half orders (like for take-out). So when he went to pick it up they handed him two take-out bags, and when he pointed out that that was not the right amount of food, they looked at the order again and realized their mistake. But, then it took some time to make the pans of food, so they gave us another pan for free, and a discount. They also apparently apologized very profusely to Eric (he's ordered stuff for resident events from them, too, so he's somewhat of a regular customer). We are still eating the leftovers. :-)
You know, I keep seeing good reviews for that movie, but I can't figure out whether it actually looks worth seeing. What is your ultimate reaction?
Also, I think it's awesome how often you get to see folks from Hopkins. Makes me want to come to NYC and visit everyone. May have to do that one of these days . . .

It means I'm not totally confined to my bed, but I'm under orders to "take it easy."

This sort of behavior is why I have no friends and no social life.

Your best bet for taking me out to mashed potato pizza is these cats, who may or may not care about my existence. Doubtful.
