It was a great weekend.

On Friday, jfrands and greendreams came by for dinner with little Tad in tow. I cooked veggie and turkey pizza with pesto and tomato basil feta. The girls drank Victory Golden Monkey beer (it has a picture of a Buddha Monkey on the front - just thought I'd mention it). We ate, talked and played with the kids. The kiddos played well together (after the intense ( Read more... )

Hmmm....I kinda like that spelling :)

It's Kadin. Don't worry, I've gotten Kaden, Cayden, Cayden, Cadin, Cadyn....I think it is just one of those names.

I was great to see you guys!

Tooki used to have a similar reaction to leaving any Barnes&Nobles because they all have Thomas sets. We quit going there a couple years ago and have just done Borders ever since because we got so tired of saying "These aren't your trains. They are for everyone to play with. You have lots of trains at home." We'd have to check all his pockets and down his shirts just in case.

They are funny about trains and I love that :)

I couldn't remember where the "i" went :)

Kai's train craze started about 6 or 7 months ago. My train! My train! My traaaaaaain!

Ok, after seeing both you and Kelly go on about "The Secret", I have come to the conclusion I am going to have to watch it. Maybe I will get that and "What the Bleep" for this weekend so I have relax time to think about them.

It will be time and money well spent. You can even watch The Secret online for $5 and if you like it, you get $5 off the price of the DVD.

It was really great to watch and put so many pieces of extraneous knowledge that I've learned over the years, together. At one point, while watching one of the bonus features, I reached an altered state where I was hyper focused on what was being said. Everything around that person and out into the room blurred and flickered out of sight. The only part I could see clearly was the guy talking. I just sat and absorbed what was happening. It is hard to explain what it looked like. I may (at somepoint) attempt to recreate what I saw in one of my art programs.

I plan on viewing it often. Thank you again.

I heard about 'The Secret' for the first time from your post, and ordered it, thinking it would be a good New Year's inspirational deed for myself and K. K and I had seen "What the Bleep" about a year and a half ago when it was in a theater here in town, and enjoyed it. It was pretty much the first time K was exposed in detail to the message and concepts in it. He was very inspired by 'The Secret' and wants us now to watch it again every week, keep written journals, numerous discussions about it's message, etc, so I was pleased I got the dvd for that reason too. This was a good move. Thanks for posting about it, since I hadn't heard of it before.

You are welcome :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!

It had a similar effect on me. I want to watch it as often as possible. I really love the idea of making a bulletin board with the things I want to draw in and then meditate while looking at it. Being the very visual person that I am, I think this method will work very well for me.
