Twilight Trailer #3

OMG the trailer OMG.

Twilight's final trailer debuted last night and I love it more than a fat kid loves cake. It has all the ho-hum trailer characteristics, but the thing that outshines everything in this trailer is Robert Pattinson.

Good Lord above.

So, I know lots of people who see Edward as this like totally serious, melodramatic soppy character ( Read more... )

I read Twiligh, New Moon and Eclipse last August and was COMPLETELY obsessed from the get-go. I waited and waited and waited for Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun and am so VERY stoked about the movie.

Oh! You're at a GREAT part! No wonder you're dying!

I still think my favorite book is New Moon because I'm sadistic and bizarre, but I know most people have a hard time with it. You'll need to make sure you stick with it, because it can get to you if you aren't careful. :)

Oh! And re: the kiss. I think the one in the trailer is supposed to be the one after the meadow. That's the first one and the trailer one looks like a 'first kiss' kind of scenerio to me.

The settings of a lot of the scenes are different in the movie compared to the book - the baseball scene is supposed to be at dark, and it's just overcast and light in the movie. This scene is supposed to be in the car ride from Port Angeles and it's in the forest in the trailers:

"How old are you?
"Seventeen."
"And how long have you been seventeen?"
"Awhile."

:D
I'm so freaking excited.

I can't believe I didn't know there was another trailer out! It's so lovely! I seem to have fallen behind - I still haven't read Midnight Sun yet. I promise I will... someday.

You will let me know if you actually publish your Twilight fanfic, right?

Ha hah ... maybe?

How opposed are you to midnight showings, btw? Cuz that "other" group I told you about? Totally going at midnight.

That would be quite the experience.

Maybe. I have to consider if it's worth taking a vacation day for. Because I would definitely need to take the next day off. And it just might be worth it.

Gah! That kiss! It nearly burned out my computer, honestly. And you know I'm only excited for this damn movie to laugh at it...and you. *g*

Love you!

The kiss - or what we saw of it - really was very good.

The movie?

Who knows? I'm sure it'll be terrible. The book is terrible! How do you make a movie out of bad original material? :D

Okay, so now that I'm almost through book 3 now, and I've seen the trailers, I'm pretty much convinced that the movie is going to not be all that fun. I know I shouldn't expect much from Hollywood (which if you think about it, that's pretty sad), but I can already pick out a bunch of things from the trailer that just aren't jiving with the book. I was going to jump on the midnight release wagon, but now, I'm not so sure.....decisions, decisions.

So, what is it about this book(s) that sucks me in? I really don't get it, because the writing???eh. I've read better fanfics out there (present company(ies) included) and sometimes she jumps around terribly, but I'm still in the tractor beam so to speak. Heck I finished book two in one day (with the occassional stops for the mommy/wife stuffz) but maybe, like I said before I haven't had the chance to read any fiction in the past 10-13 years or so (gawd am I that old now??), so maybe I'm just easily entertained?

No, no! That's EXACTLY what I was telling Sticksy last night. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why I started obsessing over this in the first place. I can tell you why I continue to read Twilight fic, and why I feel compelled to write it now, but the books themselves are mediocre at best! Isn't it bizarre? There is so much GOOD literature out there now, and we waste time with THIS? :D

The movie ... well. I'm prepared for the awkward, stilted screenplay and the immaturity of the whole thing. I think. I've had awhile to contemplate it. At this point, I'm gonna take it like I took Indy 4 and the SW prequels. Possibly good fun ... possibly horrendous. :D

That is sooooooo true! I mean (beating a dead horse here) you are right there are sooo many other good literature pieces we could be reading and we can't put this one down? Maybe it's like not being able to look away from a car accident??? :P haha Okay, so the books might not be MVA (motor vehical accident) BAD, but seriously they leave a good area for improvement.

Yah I think I'm going to have to go to the movie with that frame of mind too. I was really let down after Indy 4 (and that feeling came back when I watched it on DVD last night), but since I already know they are going to probably botch this movie, I should just be prepared for fun or horrible as you say.

Hey! Maybe I'll go to it drunk!!! IF I do the midnight show with my friend (who is not only obsessed with the books but actually thinks they are GOOD) we usually do dinner and drinks before, so PERFECT! I'll just have a few extra ones before we get in line :P haha.
