[The feed clicks on to nothing, at first -- except the sound of pained breathing and quiet cursing. There's the scrape of wet gravel and, finally, a figure appears within the camera's view -- a petite girl, blonde, lying on her back, her arms wrapped tightly around her stomach.
And blood pouring out from the wound.]
Mom...
[It's a quiet hiss,

He doesn't bother responding over the PCD, locating on Jo easily, flying to her side in an instant. One look at her makes it clear what point in time she's from and he kneels next to her, reaching out to her, gathering his strength for a healing attempt. He still hadn't used it on a human here, but now was more than worth the try.]
Jo.

She shoves herself up onto her hands abruptly, exhaling shakily as her head spins, but she refuses to lay back down. A hand finds Castiel's arm to keep herself steady --
Before Jo laughs -- it's a strained sound.]
I just got healed by some damn hoodoo magic routine...Dean's never gonna believe this -- thank you --
[Her grip tightens slightly -- she's shaking ever so slightly as she pushes herself a little straighter, and her voice drops.]
...Cas, I need to find my mom.
Reply
Thank you, Raven.
[He steadies Jo as she grabs his arm, carefully holding onto her and making sure she was upright as she wanted to be without risk of tumbling over.]
We're in another dimension, Jo. Ellen isn't here.

And then Castiel said something -- well, impossible, for starters, because how in the sam hell is that even possible?]
... did you hit your head on the way down from Heaven, Cas?
[It's said a little weakly, because Jo is seriously hoping Lucifer just hit him upside the head a little too hard, and she jerks her head slightly towards Raven, fingers still digging into Castiel's arm.]
You -- Raven, is she from 'round here? Where's Meg and all the Reapers --
[And the unspoken question: Lucifer?]
Reply
Raven, perhaps you should rest a moment. I can fly you back to wherever you'd like.
[And Jo's questions draw his attention back to her for the moment.]
No, I did not. I'm fine. This is another dimension, much like Heaven and Hell are, simply even farther removed.
[That explanation made sense, right? The idea of alternate dimensions was never much of a surprise for him anyway considering angels can and did access others at times.]
Raven is from another world entirely. Meg is here, but I'm not certain where; I haven't heard from her in some time. There are no Reapers from our world.
[Not saying anything about Lucifer at the moment.]

You don't have to, Cas. Also you shouldn't leave Jo alone.
[Even if laying down for a bit sounds quite appealing right now.]
[Raven is about to object she's from Earth but then she realizes it doesn't really mean anything in this place.]
What's a Reaper?

But the thought slips away at Cas' explanation, and Raven's question, and the Hunter in Jo speaks up first.]
A reaper's a death god. They bring people to the other side when it's your time to go -- I've never had to come up against one before but Dean and Sam have a few times.
[She falls quiet for a moment -- she supposes she would have seen a Reaper back home soon enough, though Jo wound up here before she got the chance. She draws in a shaky breath before she closes her eyes to try and squash that thought.
-- and they snap open, because something Castiel said is now ringing in her ears as very important.
Meg.]
I'm gonna exorcise that demonic bitch until there's nothing left --

[He's going to argue this one, Raven, seeing as you just did him a favor. And have been doing so ever since he got here, besides.
He's quiet while Jo explains about the Reapers, not paying all that much attention as his senses are stretched out while he tries to make certain they're safe, that no one's going to drop in on them unexpectedly, or anything else.
But when Jo starts on about Meg, his attention returns to the topic at hand.]
Now is not the time for that, Jo. We need to go somewhere safer and you can deal with Meg at a later point.
[If she decided to even after he explains about the whole death thing.]

Are they powerful? And what do you call "the other side": hell or heaven?
[Raven would argue it's unfair to blame her for her superhero complex. But it wouldn't be completely true. Also she knows she'd never have manage to heal Jo if he hadn't been there. Because he helped and supported her, both with his own powers and the trust he has in her.]
I... [She feels weak. She can't afford some stupid pride. She nods.] Thank you, then.
[And she's glad Jo's talking about Meg and doesn't know yet about her being a half-demon. The way she says that, exorcism doesn't sound like a pretty thing.]
You're an exorcist?
Reply
-- there's both. Hell and Heaven. I've never been, but Cas here can tell you all about the open bar upstairs.
[She grins a bit and nudges his shoulder ever so gently, before becoming serious at the next question.]
I'm a hunter.

[Because he's not having a chat in the open, with both Jo and Raven weakened and himself an Jo both shining beacons to any angel that happened to look for them. He ignores Jo's look, and the nudge, for now.
He nods at Raven's thanks, and gestures with a tilt of his head for her to come closer. He'll need to touch both her an Jo at the same time to fly them, intending to go back to the tower. It was shielded and a safe place to go to regroup.]

[Raven pushes herself away from the wall and braces herself to walk to Castiel.]
You're flying us to the Tower, right?
[Either that or the Temple, but the Tower sounded more likely.]
Reply
Mostly from Dean bitching and moaning about how he'd rather drive, but Jo never puts any stock in those.]
What do you need us to do, Cas? And are we meeting up with Sam and Dean?
Reply
[He turns his attention to Jo again after answering Raven's question.]
Nothing, just be still a moment. No, we are going somewhere secure for now, then we can contact them and arrange them to meet us somewhere.
[As soon as Raven's close enough, he reaches out to touch her arm, already in contact with Jo with the other. In an instant, they're outside the Tower, arranged just as they had been on the street.

It's a wonder I usually manage to get here before you do when we meet.
