Posting about a totally new different fandom!

Okay, so I have this curse. Every single time I get into a show that's currently in production, the minute I get really attached it seems like bad things happen. That's why there are a lot of shows where I watched the first season or two, and then stopped. And waited. And once the show was done and wrapped, THEN I felt like I could go back and ( Read more... )

flailing, fandom, ranting, community

It's by no means a perfect show, but it's an ambitious one and a lovable one as well. I think most fans agree about Pierce--he's the only one we don't love unabashedly. I wouldn't miss him at all if he was gone, to be quite honest. On the other hand, I'll miss the heck out Dan Harmon. I get the feeling he's a jerk irl, but he is this show, and it won't survive without him.

*drooooool*

I just stared at those long enough that I realized he has a pierced nipple (right side, only visible in the gif on the bottom left). I think it's the combo of eyeliner and leather and black nail polish. I don't know why but my inner teenage girl is just flailing everywhere.

(I actually watched that episode with my friend, who happens to be a guy. He normally spends episodes drooling heavily over Annie, so it was nice to be able to turn the tables and just unabashedly lizard-brain over shirt-less Jeff.)

And I'm with you on the Dan miss-age. I get the feeling Joss Whedon isn't really a prince IRL either, but that doesn't mean that he isn't the soul of whatever show he creates. I've worked in theater long enough to know that sometimes the most creative people can also be the biggest jerks--but if they know what they want, if they have vision, if they turn out something amazing...you put up with the ego to some degree.

I love community so hard. There's just nothing else like it on television. I'm worried that loosing Dan Harmon as showrunner will make it not "Community" and I'm bitter that Whitney of all horrible things got a full season pickup!
