Boston and Superman

Two things:

• swan_tower and I will be in Boston from this evening until Wednesday, at which point I head back to Bloomington and she stays for Readercon. It's unlikely that we'll be able to be that social, but if you're a Boston-area person and would like to try to get together with us, email me, and I'll see if we can figure something out.

and Parker Posey was a wonderful re-imagining of Miss Teschmacher.

See... for some reason, I've always had a problem with Parker Posey. I thought she did a decent job in her role, but it didn't quite work for me. Probably because it was Parker Posey, rather than any weakness in her performance, the direction, or the script.

That said, it was the least I've ever disliked her, if that's worth anything. :)

Alas! Sorry I planned my viewing of An Inconvenient Truth while you were away. I should have been paying more attention. If it doesn't have the crushing emotional effect of Grave of the Fireflies (in which case I will not view it twice for fear of being driven to suicide) I might see it a second time, since I really want it to do well.

Wish I could work something out to see you this weekend, it has been too long. College friend of mine is in town visiting through the Fourth and we've already got a pretty full schedule.
