Our Belkin has worked quite well. I also used a DLink for a while and, despite it's ghettoness, it worked well for years (though it wasn't wireless).

How does the Linksys stuff work with cable modems? We have Comcast cable, and also recently got the Wireless G (802.11g/2.4GHz) Linksys router. Mike is the only one who has messed with trying to set it up, but he couldn't get it working. In your research did you note any comments about how it works with cable modems?

Ive had some troubles with linksys in the past, more with wireless cards than routers, but wasnt really happy with either.

Also had some issues with belkin, they like to load alot of junk on your computer when you download there firmware updates.

Best router Ive had is the D-link Im currently using, but A friend has had alot of luck with his netgear router.

Don't trust netgear. They're a bunch of theives. With the worst tech support ever.

I used to have a netgear wireless router. Then I tried to upgrade the firmware (using an official upgrade from their web site), and from then on, it was pain pain pain for a whole year before I finally gave up and just went and bought a new router.

I bought a linksys and haven't had a problem at all.
